Their involvement with Women's Own Worth highlights their deep compassion and desire to make a positive impact. Known for their generosity and leadership, Dr. Michael and Terri Calhoun are beloved figures who continue to inspire others through their tireless efforts to uplift those in need.
OUR 2024 WOWAPALOOZA EMCEE
Laura Monteverdi is an award-winning journalist in Little Rock, anchoring the evening news at 5, 6 and 10 pm on KARK 4 alongside Bob Clausen and Meteorologist Todd Yakoubian. Laura graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism.
Her work educating viewers on the opioid epidemic and working to end the stigma of addiction has earned her two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and two Regional Emmy awards. Laura has a personal connection to the addiction crisis and travels the state sharing her story with youth organizations, local churches and schools.

Gaylen McGee is a seasoned auctioneer with years of experience supporting WOWapalooza, the annual event for Women’s Own Worth. His dedication to the cause and his auctioneering skills have been instrumental in raising funds to support survivors of domestic violence and violent crimes.
Known for his engaging presence and commitment to the community, Gaylen has become an integral part of WOWapalooza, helping to make each event a success year after year.
